Don’t know what to MASSAGE to pick? (Click to learn more)

If you are new to massage therapy and unsure where to start, hopefully this information can help you find the right one to get you started.

Most start with a ‘Swedish’ Massage 60-minutes. Our Swedish is a great way for us to massage your whole body as we also assess what your body tells us during the massage. Many clients are unaware of the muscle tightness, poor range of motion, or issues their body might have that a therapist can easily help identify and propose various services later to address if needed. Our Swedish also allows the client to receive a light, medium or deep pressure strokes, so for many who want to start off light and relaxing this could be ideal, and during the session the client will learn to tune in their ideal pressure settings. We also know many therapists have various pressures that might not be used to, so this is also another great way to learn your therapist and communicate with them what you like or don’t like so they can make sure future sessions are more custom to you.

Now that have experienced your first massage, or your first Swedish, and now ready to explore more styles, here is a short breakdown of the other options we offer…

  1. Hot Stones Massage
  2. Sacral Therapy / Occipital Release
  3. Prenatal Massage
  4. Sports
  5. Deep Tissue
  6. Thai Massage (Table or Floor)
  7. Raindrop Therapy
  8. Lomi Lomi Nui
  9. Relaxing
  10. Monkey Massage

Hot Stone will be a lot like your Swedish, but the feeling you get when the hot hands and hot stones touch your body create an amazing comforting and relaxing full body experience.

Sacral Therapy or Occipital Release is more of a short 15–30-minute clinical style massage session. This style of therapy is tailored to help loosen muscles around your neck & head, which have had huge benefits and releasing headaches, head pain, neck pain & back pain. Many clients who sleep wrong or got neck pinches love to book a Sacral Therapy. During this session you could feel lightheaded after your session, and we highly encourage you to hydrate, and waiting 15 minutes after your session before driving. If you are struggling sleeping at nights, this could be a huge benefit for you as well. During this session we sometimes include cupping, hot stone, hot towels. This session normally only focuses on the neck and upper back and chest region of your body. This can be included into a normal Swedish, Thai, Relaxing Massage if desired.

Prenatal is a massage most already know what it might intel. But yes, this is a full body massage for expecting mothers. This session is normally performed a table, with specific bolster pillows as we care for the baby and mother. This massage is very similar to a Swedish or Relaxation Massage.

Sports & Deep Tissue massage is more of our technical and clinical style session. During a Sports or Deep Tissue, we incorporate various techniques and tools to target your muscles, cramps, range of motion restraints. Some tools you might see are stainless steel scrapping tools, pump cupping, hot stones, cold applications, and essential oils. Yes, this type of massage can be painful and can be a little demanding on your body, but the rewards can be huge.

Thai Massage is one of Lawrence’s favorites to perform. There are many reasons one might want to try Thai, one is you can be fully clothed during your session, as the therapist performs all the stretches and massage. This session is normally conducted without any essential oils or lotions and the client normally is passive or does not move while the therapist does all the work. This is a great massage for folks who want to get a full body stretch but also feel like they are floating on air while they do. Yes, that’s tough to do, but that is why it’s an art for many therapists to perform. This could be a tough massage for many to start with, but I do recommend everyone try a Thai massage once. This can be performed on a table or on floor.

Raindrop Therapy is such a unique and relaxing essential oil massage. This has a lot of very light feather and nerve strokes, while utilizing a sequence of essential oils that will target your bodies energy and balance. If you do not see this option on our site, we might be out of a specific oil, which sometimes we have had issues getting them in locally. But when this option is available, I highly recommend everyone try this style of massage. For those who asked about animal/pets receiving raindrop, we are currently working on getting this qualification later this year.

Lomi-Lomi Nui massage is a huge favorite for many. This island vibe style session has really light drape, while allowing therapist to perform long body strokes. From the island themed sounds to the therapist rhythmic massage flow, this session gives the client a very relaxing feeling. This session isn’t always available, but I highly recommend giving this a try.

Relaxing massage. I’ve had many clients who just want to receive a relaxing massage focused more on relaxation only. For any Massage Therapist it is touch for us not to want to work on your body when we find something, but if you book a relaxation massage, we will hold back from trying to work those issues and focus more on a relaxing touch. During this session many clients will ask for us to adjust the focus on a body region, like more feet work, more back, or head, etc. which during your booked time we will plan out the session for your comfort and to ensure you have the best relaxing experience.

Monkey Massage is the massage you get when you are unsure what to really pick and prefer your therapist figure it out based on you & your body needs. As the therapist analyzes your body they determine if you need hot stones, machine tools, cupping, scrapping, deep tissue, relaxation, etc. Every monkey session gets tailored to the client and basically a unique session which you give more trust into your therapist.

Sexual Massage Information… (Sorry No Boom-Boom)

As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) licensed under the Board of Nursing and because of this have strict scope of practice laws & regulations they must follow and are unable to give sexual services to clients. I understand there is a stigma in our industry, and some states like New York, California, and many Asian massage parlors have tainted our industry with sexual media and massage social norms. Most states that follow under the board of nursing have strict training, and therapist that are extremely skilled and educated on the human body, anatomy, kinesiology, pathology, fascia, and know how to actually assist in many holistic & therapeutic methods. I wish I could educate the world in how amazing a skilled LMT can be for you, unfortunately this will be a constant battle of the two styles of massage therapists out there.

BUT, IF you’d like to learn about MASSAGE SLANG, here is a short URBAN DICTIONARY breakdown that could help you be aware….

Tier System = T1/T2/T3 is how some establishments rank their therapist based on requests and desired choice. Higher the number the more they are higher ranked. But this doesn’t always mean cause of a sensual reason, it could just mean cause that therapist is really good. If you see a 3T5/3T6/3T1, that means that the therapist is a Teir 3 and averages 5 clients, or 6 clients or 1 client a day. Meaning they can handle a heavy workload.

In the United States it is seen as OFFENSIVE to call a Massage Therapist (MT or LMT) a “MASSEUR”. Ironically in many countries, a Masseur is also a way of showing respect for a Massage Therapist, but yes interesting fact.

In the United States it is offensive to call a massage workplace a “PARLOR”. Ideal massage room names are, ‘Massage Studio’, ‘Treatment Room’, or ‘Massage Room’.

Tipping. Please know it is not required to tip your therapist, but it is always appreciated. If you do decide to tip, please do it at the end of a session not at the beginning. Most sexual parlors will take that as a sign of wanting sexual favors or wanting extra after the session. Also, if a client folds the money and leaves it out for you to see before you start the session could be a key indication they are suggesting they want more sensual favors.
